It’s been fun 🙂 but Cosy will be closing as a Café with the Last Day being Friday 20th February.

We’ve enjoyed meeting and greeting customers, many of which have become friends. And, given all the 5-star ⭐ reviews we would also like to think we got quite a lot right!

The aim of Cosy was for something Lou and I could enjoy running and be proud of – which we very much are. However, those people who have worked in hospitality will know It’s relentless running a café as well as working in one at the same time. The pressure from this, health and other family matters has meant it hasn’t given us the lifestyle we were aiming for. 😵‍💫

We would like to thank our customers as well as our fantastic staff Matthew and Ellie for their support.🤗

Just a reminder that we are open tomorrow as a tea/coffee lounge. The kitchen is shut - I’ll be busy making soup etc, but we have pasties and pastries, cakes and teacakes. If you haven’t broken your New Years Resolution yet, we’ll give you a hand with £1 off when you buy a piece of cake with your hot drink ! Happy 2026.

It’s 2026 and we’ll be back doing a full Menu on Wednesday 14th Jan. If you want to pop in and say Hi a bit sooner .. in addition we’ll be opening for Tea on Tuesdays from the 13th!

I’ll be busy prepping, so the Kitchen is closed but Lou will be out front serving Cakes, Pastries, teas and Coffees. As a Tuesday bonus we are currently offering £1 off when you have a have a hot drink and one of Lou’s fab cakes.

Someone walked into our cafe yesterday on crutches and walked out without them. It might be a Christmas Miracle or more likely the power of one of our delicious Full English Breakfasts. Effectiveness varies and can ware off - so repeated consumption advised ( Not a replacement for actual medical treatment) . We’ll hang on to the crutch just incase.

Just a heads up so you can update your Christmas plans 😀, Cosy’s last Cafe day this year is Friday 19th December! We also have a Day off on Sat 13 Dec but a couple final Cosy Christmas Drinks Afternoons on Sat 20th Dec and Sat 27th Dec. Then we are having a break till the new year.
