I am thrilled to announce the launch of our new foundation. After much preparation, we have developed a comprehensive suite of programs designed to provide vital services to our community.

Kawenage Foundation exists to uplift and support our community by providing practical resources, safe spaces and purposeful programmes that empower children, families, and individuals to grow, thrive and feel seen.

Our vision is a thriving, connected community where every child, family and individual has access to support, opportunity and a safe place to grow.

As we close out the year, I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting. Looking around Greenstead, I don’t just see neighbors—I see the heartbeat of everything we do. ❤️
​To every one of you who ate with us, joined our tournaments, volunteered for clean-ups, or tested our recipes: THANK YOU. You didn’t just support a business; you invested in a vision. Because of you, Connie’s Kitchen is standing tall today. 🏘️🙌

​We have officially secured community funding to take our mission to the next level! 🚀
​Our ethos remains the same: We aren't waiting for a seat at someone else’s table; we are building our own. 🛠️ Where there was a void, we bring innovation. Where there was silence, we bring advocacy.
​Starting next year, we are launching 4 MAJOR programs for YOU:

👨‍🍳 Cooking Program – Sharing skills & flavors.

💪 Gym & Fitness – Keeping our community healthy.

🎶 Music Program – Giving our local talent a voice.

📚 Tutoring Program – Supporting our students right here at Connie’s Kitchen.

🥶 Auntie's Cozy Closet is OPEN! 🥶

Hello my loves, your neighborhood aunty here with a little weather warning and a HUGE dose of warmth!
The weather out there is absolutely vicious! It's the kind of day that makes your teeth chatter and your toes disappear.

BUT FEAR NOT! Thanks to the absolute SUPERHEROES of our community—a phenomenal group of Nanas and Mums—we have been blessed with a treasure trove of snuggly goodness! They've worked their magic and donated a mountain of warm clothes.
* Coats: To keep the nasty wind away!
* Tracksuits: For peak cozy comfort!
* Warm Layers: Because four sweaters are better than one!
We've got sizes ranging from tiny tots all the way up to XXL (Men's and Women's). Seriously, if you need it, we probably have it!

We're so sorry to announce that we've had to cancel the school uniform drive scheduled for tomorrow. We know many of you were looking forward to it, and we truly regret any disappointment this may cause.
The good news is that we are still committed to getting these uniforms to the families who need them. Starting Monday, please send us a private message with a list of the uniform items you need. We will be working hard to put together bundles for everyone who reaches out.
In addition to uniforms, we have some incredible donations of regular clothes from our community. Whether it's a new outfit for a non-uniform day or just something special, we can help with that too. Just send us a message!
This community is about more than just food; it's about supporting each other, especially our children, who are our future. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to everyone who has donated and continues to support our work. Your generosity is a blessing to so many.
