IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

It is with an incredibly heavy heart that we announce Ernie Beckett’s will be closing at the end of September 2026.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, and despite our very best efforts, we have been left with no other option.

The continued rise in operational costs, VAT and other expenses has placed significant pressure on the business. In addition, the ongoing council works outside our shop, combined with many events taking place at the other end of Cleethorpes, have caused a drastic drop in footfall.

Deliveries have also become increasingly difficult, as our vans are often unable to access the property. Unfortunately, we cannot sustain these challenges for the length of time the council’s work is expected to continue.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank every single customer who has supported us throughout the decades. We know many of you will be just as heartbroken as we are, as Ernie Beckett’s has been part of the Cleethorpes community and so many family memories for generations.

We would also like to thank every current and former member of staff for their hard work, loyalty and dedication. So many people have grown up with Ernie Beckett’s, whether as customers, colleagues or friends, and we will always be grateful for the part you have played in our story.

We hope you will continue to support us over the coming months so that we can go out with a truly legendary bang!

Hopefully, this will not be the end of Ernie Beckett’s forever, and one day the legacy will return.
