It’s !!!! And today’s gratitude goes all to my incredible, wonderful, angel of a human stepmom. She is such a gift to our family and we would all be lost without her. She and my dad have been partners now for 33 years.

They have traveled together, parented me together, become grandparents together and now my stepmom is the caregiver for my sweet dad as they navigate his dementia together. What a gift she is.

It’s time to pull those basil plants and here is the simplest way to capture that flavor! My Lemon Basil Salt is beautiful, vibrant and delicious. Plus makes excellent gifts for the holidays!

Recipe below 👇🏻

BASIL LEMON SALT
🌱1/2 c kosher salt
🌱zest from 1 lemon
🌱 1 c loosely packed basil (and the flowering blooms too! They have loads of essential oils and flavor)

Directions
1. Preheat oven to 200 and line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment.
2. Add everything to the bowl of a food processor and pulse until it’s a gorgeous, vibrant green and it’s evenly colored.
3. Pour the salt onto the prepared sheet and bake for 30 minutes at 200, stirring once.
4. Cool completely and pour into jars to store.

Use on everything from avocado toast to sliced tomatoes to sprinkling on salads and so much more!

One year ago today in Tuscany……
My sister walked me down the aisle.
My other sister played her violin.
My best friend married us.
My other best friend ran ran the show.
My BIL delivered the BEST speech.
I boogied with my MIL.
We danced under stars.
We ate pasta at midnight on the dance floor.
Spectacular food, the most amazing countryside, gorgeous flowing w**e, incredible flowers, stunning gluten free cake, staff that was truly extraordinary and a husband that made it all possible.

I don’t know how to explain the joy, the love, the pure happiness of this day except to say it was the best day of my life. Grazie, amore mio e ti amo sempre.

It’s another Thankful Thursday!!! What are you all thankful for today?! There is a lot going on in the world right now and I love being able to step back and think on the things that are wonderful, make me happy and help that outshine the negative ✨

This week I am EXTRA thankful for Mary Baby 🌸 and Kelly Fosters - two wonderful women who are working together to help give a paralyzed frenchie they rescued from a garage a new life (he was stuck there covered in fleas and just trapped on a piece of cardboard 😞).
