Beer at The Priory

Today we handed over the last of the funds generated by our little Beer @ The Priory Beer Fest. We apologise for the delay in letting you all know how well be did for our charities.

The money was divided into three and went to the following good causes.
Prostate Cancer UK
Deeping's Community Library
Priory Church

We must thank all of our sponsors, volunteers and you our visitors who made it such a successful event, let's do it all again next year!

The figures:-

Operational surplus was £9,472.50. This is profit after all expenses were paid.

Additional income generated over the weekend

£680 raised by the Bell Tavern for Prostate Cancer UK by 'Challenge Wolfie' and other activities during the Saturday.

£280 in Rose & Sweet Pea advance raffle sales
£27 in additional sale of merchandise
£93.91 donations by contactless in the church

This gives us a total of £10,553.41 raised during the festival. Not bad for a weekend's work!

At the recent Beer at The Priory event this year, The Bell Tavern joined in by doing a Blind Auction and having Martin Wolfie Adams challenge all comers to a leg of darts. The Beer Festival raised over £3000 for a charity very close to our hearts and we were able to boost that. We managed another £1700 through our collective efforts through out the year. So it's a massive thank you from us to all of you for being so generous in helping this cause and I'm sure Prostate Cancer UK will say the same 💙

It may seem like a fair while ago since the festival but we've finally decided we should have a meeting to discuss how it all went!

Sunday 26th July (this Sunday) at 12:00 in the Priory church hall (you know the place, we had a beer festival in it!). It'll be a short meeting and we'll be all done by about 13:30 so please be prompt. We are however very happy to carry on the discussions at the Giraffe afterwards over a libation.

If you want to have input please either come along or drop us a note. Then we can start all over again for next year.

A preliminary look at the accounts shows an 'operational surplus' of around £9500. This will be added to in the next few weeks as other income streams become apparent! Please bear with us as we quantify other stuff! As usual a massive massive thanks to all who contributed to our little gig.

And it's a wrap. All done for another year. A massive thank you to our volunteers, our bands, our sponsors and all of you who came out to enjoy yourselves. We'll do a few calculations and come back to you all when we know how much we raised for our charities.

Last day of the gig....! The sun is out, Punch and Judy arguing in the garden and a variety of bands doing their stuff. A replenished cider bar, Pimms and wines flowing nicely and a few interesting beers on. Men in Sheds doing fun stuff, Deepings Lions doing 'Lions stuff' with the added bonus of face painting. Join us.

Well that was a blast! A truly brilliant day.
Today we have the Deepings Lions providing a few diversions for us. Bring the kids.
We've restocked our cider bar, filled the fridges with lovely wine and our Pimms will still flow. Join us from midday.
