Morning you lovely lot β€οΈ
It looks like I forgot to order the decent weather for this one π«
Its going to be a wet one but we hope that it doesn't put you off too much β
Now I hate to be that person but we have 3 rules that make sure these events run as smoothly as possible.
1) please leave your own pups at home, this one is our most important one and below are the reasons why...
First and foremost the dogs without a home of their own deserve to bask in the limelight. I'm sure your pup is absolutely gorgeous but while people fawn over them there's a homeless dog missing out.
Secondly we assess the space as to where each dog will go and adding in extras means we have to rejig and things can get tighter, which in turn can up stress levels.
Thirdly not all dogs get along we as a team never want to add more stress into the dogs lives that have already gone through so much. Stress levels go up and so does bite risk.
It may seem a little kill joy but we've only ever had one incident and that was with a dog that hadnt been accounted for and it led to a bite.
2) please ask before starting an interaction with a dog, this is especially important with the puppies today.
This is to ensure that the dog is not resting or simply if they need a break, their handlers know them best and if they say no please respect that.
3) children must be accompanied at all times and must be dog savvy. If your little would like to approach a dog please make sure you are with them and that they remain calm, not every dog has been around children and the best way to keep both safe is for us adult humans to keep an eye on what is going on.
Now I've played my bringer of doom part all that's left to say is let's find some pups some homes!
I'm excited to see you all later and I'm ever so excited to meet our attendees, we got 6 rehomed out of 5 available dogs last time so fingers crossed we can beat that this time πΆπ»β€οΈ
