First visit to the latest little bar along Northgate Street, Wonky Tusk Chester

A nice, chilled bar with a good choice of draught beers.
I had the Tiny Rebel stout for the first time: "Coal Drop." Very good session-style stout! 👌🏻🍻

Cost-wise, the stout and Wonky Tusk house pilsner came to £11.40.

Good location, friendly owner and staff, and a good choice of beers. It will do well!

Been looking forward to this one, and it didn’t disappoint!

Coley’s Brewery collab with Wakey Wakey Brew Co.

I didn’t know what sort of beer a grisette was, so I had to Google it:

“A grisette is a traditional Belgian farmhouse beer, somewhat related to a saison, but usually lighter, lower in alcohol, and more refreshing.”

After a lot of thought and some very difficult decisions, we have made the decision to close the doors of 4 Monkeys.

Our current planned final day of trading will be Saturday 19th September.

4 Monkeys has been a big part of what we've built over the years, and we have genuinely loved serving you great craft beer, discovering new bottles and cans, and being part of the community around Rufus Court.

Unfortunately, the combination of increasing landlord costs and the huge rise in the overall cost imposed on us by the government means that continuing to trade from the premises is no longer sustainable for us.

So, before we close, we're going to give you the chance to grab some bargains. 🍻
