🍻 Oktoberfest Opening Weekend Round Up 🇩🇪

What a weekend to kick things off…

The steins were raised, the b**rs were flowing and the Sandford Park Bierkeller was well and truly brought to life. A packed marquee, plenty of laughter, great food, live music and some Oktoberfest spirit made for a brilliant opening weekend.

Seeing the marquee full of people enjoying themselves, raising a stein with friends and making memories is exactly what we wanted to create!

We might be biased, but we think we’ve created something pretty special… a little taste of Munich at The Sandford Park Alehouse. 🍻

But the celebrations aren’t over yet.

Join us this weekend, 2nd–4th October, for more Oktoberfest fun, including…

🍺 Traditional Bavarian food
🏆 Games and prizes to be won
🎶 Live music
🍻 Plenty more steins, Prost’s and good times

If you missed opening weekend, don’t worry, there’s still time to join us in the marquee.

Grab your mates, raise a stein and come experience Sandford Park Bierkeller.

Prost! 🇩🇪

From crispy schnitzels and proper bratwurst, to pretzels and all the trimmings, our Oktoberfest menu is bringing a proper taste of Bavaria to the alehouse.

And what’s better with German food than German b**r? All of our Oktoberfest b**rs are now pouring, ready to wash it all down🍺

Our food menu starts Wednesday, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available too.

And for the Sundays? We’ve got a special Oktoberfest Sunday lunch with a Bavarian twist on 27th September & 4th October 🍽️🇩🇪

STEINS AT THE READY, THE BIERKELLER IS BACK🍺🇩🇪

Oktoberfest returns to Sandford Park from 21st September – 4th October, and this year, we’re getting competitive. 👀

We’ve got five Bierkeller games lined up across the two weekends:

💪 Stein of Strength
🥨 Hands Off My Pretzel
🍺 Steinway to Heaven
🥨 Pretzel Toss
🌿 Huff & Hop

Never heard of them? Swipe through to meet the games, find out how to play, and see the full schedule.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a proper Bierkeller without the music. Our live Oompah band will take over the marquee every Friday & Saturday, bringing plenty of brass and singalongs 🎺🍻

Then on Friday 25th September, we’ll officially open the Bierkeller with the tapping of the first barrel.

If you’re planning on joining us, make sure you get your table booked in, particularly for the weekends. Dust off the lederhosen, bring your competitive side, and we’ll take care of the b**r.

THE SANDFORD PARK BIERKELLER IS BACK. PROST! 🍻

Our 7th annual Oktoberfest returns from 21st September – 4th Oktober, and this year we’re going bigger.

For two weeks, the Alehouse becomes The Sandford Park Bierkeller, with our b**r garden transformed into Cheltenham’s very own Munich B**r Garden 🍺

Expect long tables, steins of great German b**r, a full Oktoberfest food menu, live Oompah music, games, competitions and plenty more!

And we’ll be kicking things off properly…

Friday 25th September marks the official opening of the Bierkeller, with the ribbon cut and the first barrel tapped. We’ve got a special guest doing the honours this year too… more on that very soon 🛢️

Then it’s over to our five piece Oompah band, playing live from 7pm–10pm every Friday and Saturday across both weekends 🎶

There’ll also be stein holding competitions and festival games across both weekends, with prizes up for grabs 🏆

And it wouldn’t be Oktoberfest without the outfits. The whole team will be getting dressed up and we’d love you to join us 🇩🇪

Lederhosen, dirndls and your best Oktoberfest get up are much encouraged, with prizes for the best dressed 🎁

Seven years of Oktoberfest. Two weeks in the Bierkeller. A little taste of Munich in Cheltenham.
