As you could probably tell, I approached this season with an “I’ve got nothing to lose” kind of attitude 😆
I’ve recently learned a lot about the power of positive thinking and the importance of not worrying too much about what other people think.
I’ve also recently learned that you’re not supposed to paint a listed building bright red, white and green without permission 😬

That said… it’s been impossible to ignore the hundres (yes, hundreds!) of people who’ve asked for the colours to stay.
So I got in touch with the council, and they’ve confirmed that a petition WOULD be taken into consideration. They’ve also sent me the application forms to seek permission to keep the Welsh colours.
I completely respect that some people would prefer the windmill to be painted back to white, so we’ve made sure there’s a petition for that too. Just ask our receptionist and we’ll make sure you sign the right one.
Ultimately, I just want what’s best for the windmill’s future. Having seen the tourism benefits first-hand this summer, I’ll personally be signing the petition to keep the colours.
