We’re expanding the family and have a few roles available for people to join the team! A few of them have flown the nest and headed off to university so we're looking at getting a few more folk on board!

If you love independent craft beer, locally sourced coffee, fresh baked pastries, and great community vibes, we want to hear from you.

We’ve got two spots open to join the Northstowe team;

Part-time chef: We need a reliable, hard-working chef to jump into our busy kitchen. You’ll be serving up quality food to keep our lovely customers fed and happy.

Part-time Front of House: Latte art? Who needs it. You'll learn it eventually, we all did. We've got a part-time position to support in the café side as well as the bar side where you'll be pouring some of the best beer around.

The youth club starts again this Wednesday from 7pm till 8.30pm.

Year 10 young people are welcome to help as volunteers on club nights.

We need more adult volunteers to help Connections Bus Project youth workers to set up and put away equipment. Also help engage and interact with the children in activities if you like.

You will be required to be DSB checked by the Connections Bus Project. You can come help as a volunteer as and when you're available.

Northstowe Dog Show – is supporting Medical Detection Dogs and Pets as Therapy

Elite Sports along with Highgate Veterinary Clinic and Northstowe Hub would like to invite you to the first Northstowe Dog Show on Saturday 12 September starting at 2pm. In a separate arena, Oakington Dog Day Care Centre will be providing some agility equipment to try.

Date: Saturday 12 September

Time: 2pm start

Venue: Junior Sports Pitches

Entry: £2 per category – maximum 2 entries per person/dog

Please use the QR codes on the poster. There are also posters at Western Park Pavilion (Peppercorn Drive) on the Noticeboard on The Green, (Northstowe) and inside The Unity Centre (Northstowe)

As this is the first show, we are starting on a small scale with six categories:

2pm Golden Oldie – (dogs aged 8 and over) supported by Hydro-Fur-Apy, Canine Water Therapy Centre

2:20pm Best Groomed – supported by Kay 9 Dog Grooming

2:40pm Junior Handler (aged 12 and under, with adult supervision) - supported by Highgate Country Stores

3pm Best Rescue - supported by Oakington Dog Day Care Centre

3:20pm Dog who looks most like its owner – supported by Attila’s Cafe

3:40pm Waggiest Tail – supported by Longstanton Wellness

4pm Best in Show – supported by Paula Armstrong Ceramics
