I only use the best oils and butters, and use the traditional Cold Process soapmaking method to create luxurious, gorgeous smelling soaps which will look fabulous in anyone's home. Apparently people don’t hate getting emails… they just hate boring ones.

📬 A 50% open rate after just three hours isn’t something you see very often.

Neither is an unsubscribe rate of… zero.

Which tells me one thing.

People aren’t just signing up because they want 20% off their first order. They’re sticking around because they actually enjoy reading it.

One of my (many!) favourite things about handmade soap?

It turns something you barely think about into a tiny moment of joy.

Every time you wash your hands you get soft, clean skin, the scent of sweet strawberries, and satisfaction of knowing you’ve skipped another plastic bottle.

Small things. But small things have a habit of making ordinary days just a little bit nicer. 🍓

Let it not be said that I don’t bring you the MOST thrilling soap cutting reels 🙄🤣

Behold, the cutting of three, uncoloured, unscented bars 🙌🎉

Still, the Luxury Facial Bar doesn’t need fancy reels. She is enough, just as she is 🥰

Cleansing enough to melt away make-up, gentle enough to leave your skin feeling fabulous. Wash, rinse with water, follow up with your favourite moisturiser. Done ✔️

Anyway, happy Soap Squad! This was three loaves of Luxury Facial Bars that I made yesterday. I’ll cut them later on today but it’s not likely to be a very thrilling reveal 😉 No colour, no fragrance, just gently cleansing goodness.

You probably don’t need my soap if…

❌ You’re perfectly happy with whatever shower gel happens to be on offer.

❌ You don’t really notice or care what your bathroom products smell like.

❌ Plastic bottles don’t bother you in the slightest.

❌ You think all soap is basically the same.

❌ You’d always choose the cheapest option, whatever it is.

…and that’s absolutely fine, life would be dull if we all wanted the same things!

But if quality matters more to you than clever marketing, I think you’ll feel quite at home here 🫧🥰

I know - we all know - that supermarket soap is much cheaper than mine, but have you ever wondered WHY that is?

Big companies cut costs by swapping out nourishing oils (like olive oil, cocoa butter or shea butter) for the cheapest oils they can get away with, and more often than it’s non-RSPO (responsibly sourced palm oil).

PLUS they remove the wonderfully nourishing glycerin that’s a natural by-product of the soap-making process and sell it on as a baking ingredient (or to make nitro-glycerin 😱)

Well, that’s if it’s even soap proper soap.

Often what you’re buying is cheap detergent made to smell nice, and the result is a bar that’s drying on your skin and which doesn’t last.

If you think you can’t use soap, do give a bar of the good stuff a try and you might be surprised.
The sample packs (essential oil varieties and fragrance oil varieties) are now back in stock, but there’s only a few of each available.

Find your fave scent BEFORE you buy a full-sized bar 😁

Uh-oh, looks like another heat wave is on the way! You wouldn’t know from this morning’s weather mind, I took this photo during the tiniest window of sunshine, and it’s back to gloom now 🙄

Anyway, what’s on the to-do list this week? I need to make facial bars, more peppermint foot creams - heatwave, say no more - and (don’t shoot me!) make a start on the autumn specials - always my favourite collection of the year. The workshop is going to smell divine 🎉🎉
