The Soap Mine Welcome to The Soap Mine All of the handmade artisan soaps on this page are made by me (Vicki) in my kitchen at home.

I only use the best oils and butters, and use the traditional Cold Process soapmaking method to create luxurious, gorgeous smelling soaps which will look fabulous in anyone's home. Whether you're looking for a gift, or want to treat yourself, I'm sure you'll find something to suit your requirements here. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you need any further information. This soap does NOT contain: Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Preservatives, Animal Products, Petroleum Products or Parabens, and has not been tested on animals. All my soaps have undergone a safety assessment in accordance with the requirements of current EU and UK legislation, namely Council Directive 76/768/EEC. I have made hundreds of bars of soap this week, but I think this Eryri one might be my favourite.

Sometimes I wish I could predict, and plan, how the swirls will end up, but I guess then they wouldn’t be as individual and as unique as they are 🤩

Five reasons your soap deserves a proper bed.

1. It’s been working hard all day. It deserves somewhere dry to rest.
2. Nobody likes sitting in a puddle of their own making 🫣😬
3. A soggy bottom is rarely a good thing. Just ask Paul Hollywood.
4. A soap dish that drains properly helps your bar dry out between uses, so it lasts longer.
5. You’ve spent £5.50 on a beautiful bar of handmade soap. Don’t let it stick to the bath or worse still, turn snotty! 🥺

Give your soap a little dignity. Get it a dish!

Try eco-friendly alternative
➡️ discover it’s a bit rubbish
➡️ quietly return to the plastic version…

And I don’t blame you because being better for the planet shouldn’t mean putting up with a product that you don’t enjoy using. But there ARE great options out there.

May I suggest starting with soap? 😏

Bore da / good morning!
WAY too wet this morning to wander in the garden so here’s a teeny bit of our morning walk 😂☔️☔️

Hope you had a fab weekend? Weather wasn’t too bad here really, until this morning, and I got (almost) everything done that I wanted to do, so I call that a success 🎉

Your weekly Jac content has arrived.

I had to cut it down a bit because I’m sure not even the most ardent Jac fan will sit through 7.5min of bouncing 🫣. One day I’ll have to let him bounce until he comes out of his own accord. Not happened yet 🤷‍♀️
