🍳 Kitchen Team Member

We’re looking for a Kitchen Team Member to join our friendly team here at The Gardens.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves food, enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in what they produce. Previous commercial kitchen experience is helpful, but not essential – enthusiasm, a good attitude and a passion for food are more important to us.

The role

* 4 days per week – approximately 24 hours
* Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
* Working hours approximately 8:50am – 3:00pm
* Additional holiday cover when required
* Preparing and serving food from our cafe kitchen
* Helping with food preparation, cooking and presentation
* Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and running smoothly
* Working as part of our friendly cafe and farm shop team
* Following food hygiene and safety procedures

We’re looking for someone who is:

* 🍴 Passionate about food
* 😊 Friendly and approachable
* 💪 Reliable and hard-working
* 👨‍🍳 Keen to learn and develop their kitchen skills
* 🧼 Clean, organised and takes pride in their work
* 🤝 Comfortable working as part of a small team
* ⭐ Someone who genuinely cares about the food and experience we provide for our customers

Commercial kitchen experience is not essential. If you enjoy cooking, have a genuine interest in food and are willing to learn, we’d love to hear from you.

Meet our resident children’s author Polly Bivens 📖

Polly is one of our most regular (and one of our favourite) visitors here, you can usually find her accompanied by her husband Jim, or with the Anslow WI 🫖

Polly is one of the nicest, kindest people you will ever meet, she is always happy and smiley and loves to have a chat with everyone 🥰

We are lucky enough to stock Pollys books in the shop, all of which are based on true tales from her garden. When you’re next here, please take a look 🐇🐢🐦
