A shout-out for Biker & Brew Community "Passport Check-in" 📢

Ellie Mais is participating, and if you have a passport, we can collect them on the 4th October or beforehand if required. Please make sure passports have Riders details in the front of the Passport before handing in.

The Angel Cafe will be collecting Passports on the 3rd October. 👼

You see us behind the counter, covered in food, running around like headless chickens and arguing over who forgot to order something… 😂

But when we actually get time away from the cafe, we do occasionally remember that we’re allowed to have fun too! 🤣

So this time we swapped the kitchen for Congo Rapids Jurassic Adventure Golf 🦖🌴⛳️

A bit of crazy golf, a lot of laughing… Leaving who’s the best at home. No podium, simply two souls finding their inner child 😂.

Running a cafe when it’s just the two of us means there isn’t a huge team to hand things over to, so when we get some time off, we REALLY appreciate it. ❤️

🍳 A 12-SLOT EGG POACHER! 🍳

With poached eggs and pancakes absolutely FLYING out of our kitchen lately, we’ve realised something…

You lot are making us work too hard. 😂🫶🏼

We’ve had customers waiting longer than we’d like for their food, and that’s something we really don’t want. So rather than just moaning about it… we’ve gone and bought a ridiculous piece of equipment instead. 😂

12 POACHED EGGS. AT ONCE. 🤯

And yes… we have absolutely bought this with the future in mind. 👀

There’s a LOT happening behind the scenes at Ellie-Mai’s Cafe at the moment, and some of the things we’ve been working on are finally starting to come together.

Honestly, we couldn’t do any of it without you lot.

Every breakfast, coffee, cake, share, recommendation, comment and visit has helped us build this little dream of ours a bit further. ❤️

Sweet, savoury, crispy, juicy… basically every breakfast food having a party on one plate! 😂

Now, I’ll be honest… I’m not entirely convinced by the sweet + savoury combo 🤔🥞🥓. Pancakes, Fruit and maple syrup on the same plate as bacon, sausage and black pudding…

A message to the 2 guys that have just been and stolen a load of drinks from us….

We’re a small local buisness struggling a lot in this economy, trying our best to keep things a float for our community, so it’s really disappointing to have people come in use our services and drink our drinks without paying for them.

Everything in our cafe is paid for by us as a small business, and like any shop, we rely on honesty and respect from customers to stay open - every item taken without payment directly impacts us and our ability to keep going.

Would you go into Tesco, fill your basket and walk out? i didn’t think so… so why do that to a small struggling business? you have no idea of the impact you have.

That being said one of our amazing, loyal customers that witnessed this incident took out his own hard earned cash and proceeded to pay towards the stolen drinks. It should not have been put on his shoulders to pay for a product he did not receive. We are so incredibly greatful for you, and all of our other lovely supportive customers, it means so much more than you know. We appreciate you🫶🏼
