We recently came together with NALAM CIC to launch something that means a lot to us: a diabetes-conscious menu designed to give our community more considered options when eating out, without losing the Sri Lankan flavours we know and love.

We’re incredibly proud that Copper Ceylon is the first restaurant to be part of the NALAM movement, and this is only the beginning.

Food is such a huge part of our culture. So conversations like this matter. ❤️🐘

A few days ago, we were proud to host the launch of the NALAM Menu at Copper Ceylon, working alongside on an initiative focused on creating more diabetes-conscious choices within the food our community already knows and loves.

We also had the opportunity to speak with Dr Hissy, who shared some of the thinking behind the initiative, including the disproportionate impact of diabetes on South Asian communities and why greater awareness and more considered options when eating out can make a difference.

For us, this is bigger than simply adding another menu.

We’re incredibly honoured that Copper Ceylon is the first restaurant to be part of NALAM’s movement, helping to take that first step towards giving our community more choice while still being able to enjoy the flavours and food that are such an important part of our culture.

And hopefully, this is only the beginning. ❤️
