Back in March we were lucky enough to be shortlisted to compete in the National Burger Awards! One of our recipes was a perfect blend of indulgence, simplicity and A1 ingredients, so we thought we’d bring it to you guys as the second instalment of our TEST KITCHEN series.⁠

Yesterday we competed in the 2026 National Burger Awards finals, and what a day it was...

We didn’t secure the win, but we were so proud of our burger, and honestly, just cooking off against the very best in the UK was something else. There were some seriously naughty burgers being served. I don’t think anywhere in the world has a burger scene like we do. 🇬🇧🍔

Our technical round burger got a lot of love on the day, a thicker Oowee beef blend patty, Ogleshield cheese, Delicious Drop beer-braised Tabasco onions, baconnaise and crispy onions.

I’m thinking this needs to be our next Test Kitchen drop... what do we reckon? Shall we? 👀

NATIONAL BURGER AWARDS 2026 FINALISTS 🍔🔥

This year marks 10 years of Oowee, and while we’re celebrating, we’re also pushing ourselves harder than ever to make sure everything we do stays at the top of its game.
We’ve been working closely with our butchers to refine our bespoke blend ofhigh grade, British grass-fed beef, making sure it’s as good as it can possibly be. Every part of our process has been critiqued and dialled in, all to keep delivering the best burgers we can.

As part of that journey, we decided to put ourselves to the test and enter the , going head-to-head with some of the best burger spots in the UK…
…and we’ve made it to the FINALS 🏆

Our competition burger, “The Camembert Cream”, is everything we’re about, high-grade, top-quality produce, dirty, delicious, and unapologetically indulgent.
