‼️ HEATWAVE ANNOUNCEMENT‼️

We somehow made it through this weeks heatwave without any closures (although we’re not quite sure how - we’ve all been melting 🥵☀️)

Today was a tough one for both the staff and the fridges. The temperature at the back of the kitchen climbed well into the 40s, and after several days of extreme heat, everyone is starting to fill the effect.

📢With another heat warning in place for tomorrow, (FRIDAY 26th) we’ve made the difficult decision to shut a little earlier at 12:45 📢

Fridays are already 3 - 4 times busier than a typical day , and with it being the last Friday of the month (payday for most people) , we expect it to be busier than usual. We also need an extra team member on Fridays which creates even more heat in the kitchen.

As well as looking after our staff, we have to able to maintain temperatures within food safety guidelines. With the extreme heat expected tomorrow , they will be under significant strain and closing slightly earlier will help us keep everything operating safely and within the required standards.

We really appreciate your understanding.
The safety of our team and maintaining the highest food safety standards must come first.

📢‼️ WE WILL TRY OUR BEST TO REMAIN OPEN FOR AS LONG AS POSSIBLE TODAY DURING THIS EXTREME HEAT WAVE.

however, our refrigerators have really struggled towards the end of the day this week to stay within the government food safety temperature guidelines and with today being even hotter this is something we have to take very seriously , alongside the safety and welfare of ourselves and our staff.

We will continue to monitor the situation throughout the day and make decisions based on food safety and staff wellbeing.
If we do need to close early , we will update this on our page.
