So that’s it, keys where given back to the brewery yesterday after eleven years, eight months and sixteen days of being there. We gave it a good go, but in the end had to give up the place that had been our home, a warm safe space for our staff and a wonderful place for our customers and community to meet, drink and dine together. In the end we just couldn’t make it work, with rising food prices, VAT, wage increases and the rest. To say we are heart broken is an understatement. Having been at the centre of our community for so long it’s tough to give it up. We wish Sarah and Jamie the best of luck who are already there with lots of work going on inside and I know they will put their all into it as we have done. We want to thank all our staff and customers over the years you’ve all been wonderful but especially Emma who has stuck with us so long we’ll never be able to thank you enough for all you have done.
I’ll be changing the handle on this account shortly so if you want to keep following to see what I do next stick around, there will be food and foraging and allotments and plenty more to share.
