One more proud post. Holly has been featured in the Cornish times, on Duchy Colleges social media and Cornish mutual have now used Holly for their advertising for this years bursary competition which she won last year! This girl is really starting to see what hard work and dedication can achieve xx

Our daughter Holly has been working on a dairy farm for the last two years alongside her uni degree in agriculture and this has sparked her passion learning about sustainability, welfare, genetics in breeding and climate change within farming.
Aswell as becoming student governor for all of the Cornwall college centres she has won the Cornish mutual student bursary this last year and has now just won the West Country Dairy Awards 2026 after winning the Cornwall rounds and going on as a finalist repressing Cornwall to win against Devon, Dorset and Somerset’s finalists and some serious competition. Holly brings home the legendary silver cow trophy and £2000 aswell as a number of wonderful opportunities coming up!
Well done Holly we are incredibly proud of your hard work around your 4 jobs putting you through uni and your studies. Holly has had some great support and mentoring from her bosses Simon and Ali Ward, her uni tutor Paul Ward and more recently mentoring from some top people within the industry who are offering Holly future opportunities which we are so grateful for. Keep going Holly the stars are the limit if you work hard, stay humble and grateful and are brave enough to take those leaps of faith, learn from the failures and keep going to earn the wins.

Richard had to hand milk Daisy today to get the colostrum for her twin calves as they haven’t tried to drink yet. Richards grandad would have been proud as he had to hand milk their dairy herd lol. Safe to say we won’t be starting up a dairy herd anytime soon lol.

These absolute clowns do this to get attention. One calf does it in the field, yard and now to the vet and has taught his mate! The vet did check before anyone worries and it is just them being clowns. 😆🤪

Came across this crazy fungus in the woods it’s fluorescent orange. Any know what it is?

Ok so it turns out that quite a lot can go wrong with pigs 🥴
They lasted approximately 10 seconds before they broke out. We have only just got in from re fencing the paddock and upgrading every part of it so fingers crossed we will wake up with the pigs still in the paddock. Wish us luck!!
