Think you've got what it takes to build the best sandcastle in town? Now's your chance to prove it!

Join us for the Blyth Annual Sandcastle Competition 2026 on Saturday 18th July for a day of creativity, laughter and seaside fun. Whether you're entering as a family, with friends, or taking on the challenge yourself, everyone is welcome!

🏆 Amazing prizes are up for grabs, including:
🎭 A family ticket to the Phoenix Theatre, Blyth
🍕 A £20 voucher for Ciccarelli Artisan Gelato
☕ A £20 voucher for Market Pavilion
🏄 A surf lesson for FOUR with Blyth South Beach Surf School!

RNLI Blyth Lifeboat, Blyth Lifeguard and Swimming Club Social and our amazing face painter will also be there!

There is also a free hotdog and juice for all children that take part!

So grab your buckets, spades and your biggest ideas – because this year we're looking for the most creative, impressive and fun sandcastles on Blyth Beach!

Due to the incredible popularity of our beach huts, we've managed to release **an additional 152 booking days** for public hire over the summer! ☀️🏖️

If you've been trying to book and couldn't find availability, now's the perfect time to take another look. Whether you're planning a family day by the sea, a relaxing escape, or a base for exploring Blyth Beach, there are now many more opportunities to book.

⛱️ Don't leave it too long though – with the school holidays in full swing, we expect these newly released dates to be snapped up quickly.

**IMPORTANT NOTICE**

Due to a one off booking of the Dave Stephens Centre on Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th July, the front room will be closed to customers on those 2 days only. We will have seating outside, and the kiosk and public toilets will be open as normal.

Weather's looking glorious today!

We still have a few beach huts available to rent today- visit www.blythcec.co.uk to book

Our kiosk is open 9-5pm with a range of hot and cold drinks, hot food, ice lollies and sweet treats.

Remember buying from us helps to support us to keep the public toilets open all year round.
