Based in Belfast, we take immense pride in crafting the highest quality Bao Bun. Our commitment to excellence is reflected in our meticulous and precise practices carried out by our skilled and dedicated Bao Artists, or as we fondly call them, 'baoists'. From the moment the dough is mixed until the final step of steaming, our baoists display a level of precision that is both an art and a science.

The dough cannot rest for too long or come into excessive contact with the warmth of a palm during shaping to prevent over-proving. This careful attention to detail ensures that each Bao bun we create is nothing short of a masterpiece. Our freshly steamed Bao's boast a cushiony and fluffy texture, providing the perfect base to be generously filled with a variety of offerings such as Teriyaki Beef, Hacked Chicken, Char Siu Pork, Hoisin Duck, Popcorn Cauliflower or Tofu. Each Bao is then topped with one of our unique Combo Flavours & Garnishes designed to awaken all your taste buds.

TOFU DONE PROPERLY 🔥

Hand-cut tofu, crumbed fresh in our gluten-free crispy coating and cooked until golden with that proper crunch on the outside and soft centre.

Then there’s the warm honey sriracha sauce for dipping. Sweet, spicy, sticky…and dangerously good.

Made fresh. Crumbed by us. Absolutely the best tofu you will try! ❤️🥢

A fresh, locally made soft baguette, packed to the brim with your choice of filling, crunchy slaw, pickles, fresh herbs and LOADS of flavour.

And just when you think it couldn’t get any better…it comes with our bone broth on the side for dunking. 🤌🏽

We’re looking for someone to join us part-time, Front of House at Bao Bun, Botanic.

Around 20-25 hours a week, and you’ll need to be able to work a mix of weekdays, evenings and weekends.

Basically, we need someone who’s good craic, good with people, doesn’t panic when there’s a queue out the door and isn’t afraid to get stuck in when it’s all go.

Experience is handy, but being sound, reliable and willing to learn goes a long way. 😉

CRUNCH TIME 😮‍💨

Crispy Chicken + House is one of those combos that people order on repeat.

Crispy chicken, crunchy Asian slaw, Szechuan mayo, pickled carrot & daikon, finished with crispy shallots.

Creamy, crunchy, tangy, with just enough of a kick. Basically, a bit of everything in every bite.

Because once you’ve tried tofu crispy on the outside, soft in the middle and absolutely loaded with flavour, it very quickly moves from “I’ll try it” to basic human need.

Hot, but not just for the sake of it. 🌶️🔥

Our Kimchi Dressed Fries are absolutely LOADED - crispy fries covered in Szechuan mayo (or sriracha), kimchi, red cabbage, coriander, spring onions, ponzu chillies and sesame seeds.

Spicy. Tangy. Creamy. Crunchy. Salty. A little bit messy. A lot going on in the best possible way.

Basically, if your fries aren’t dressed like this…they’re underdressed.
