We’re back to BKK and are doing a bit of window shopping and some real shopping in and around Siam Paragon. Whoever was here knows the place is big and lot of walking and the heat outside makes you tired. Need to recharge.
We really like Thai food and together with the always smiling people it’s great experience to be here. And to make it even one level up then you should visit one of fine dining places in Bangkok. One of popular places among locals is Soma restaurant in Siam Patumwan House. The kitchen team led by head chef Pak using traditional flavours and showing them in new modern way. And they doing great job.
There are three of us and we ordered a bit of everything and as always we do share all.
Started with Crispy sago with mince pork and Crispy rice noodles in a sauce.
Followed by mains Shrimp biryani with grilled king mackerel, Salted mackerel cake on a fried rice, Pad kapaw with mince pork and fried pork belly, Massaman of beef cheeks and roasted sweet potato, Five-spice braised pork leg with salted duck egg sauce.
From the first bite it was just awesome experience. Flavoures combined the way you wouldn’t expect. Chillies were hot but not overpowering the other flavours. All seasonings were spot on. Every element cooked to the perfection.
And to finish all this we’ve got some sweets as well. Longan mochi with coconut ice cream. Steamed egg custard with pistachio and coconut. Great 💚
Overall it was nice way how to spend two hours with super tasty food and great service of everyone who looked after us.

Morning market ตลาดตรอกหม้อ ตลาดเก่าแก่ กลางกรุงเทพ
So colourful and so busy… we’ve got all what was planned. Lot of street food to eat straight away and some to get for later. Freshly made on the spot. Full of flavours that makes it so different. A few tourists but 99% locals that know where to go and what to get. Lot of meat, fruit, veggies, fresh herbs, and my favourite pastries and sweets 💚 everything in one street.

Ko Mark- Hua Hin, Thailand 🇹🇭
We left BKK for couple of days and hit the road. Due south. Just about 2 hrs drive following highway number 4 and we arrived to our hotel Radisson Resort & Spa Hua Hin. Good located hotel just on the beach and only a few minutes out of all the buzz of seaside city of Hua Hin. And on the same main road is one of popular restaurant called Ko Mark. I checked with locals and with google and I made the decision.
Nice and modern designed restaurant that serve classic Thai food nice way. So a lot of flavours and all fresh ingredients on your plate. We arrived just when the door opened and were pretty much first seated and a few minutes later it was buzzing all around. I’d say full house all the time.
Well as there was four of us we could order a lot. And we did. Easy when you can share and try everything 😉
No need to describe every plate but we’ve got a lot of seafood since we are just next to the sea. Some pork some chicken some veggies… and a lot of incredible flavours 💚
Every single dish was great. I’d say whatever you get is pretty good. Highly recommended when you in town.
So sit down, order and enjoy ☺️

Local river prawns are one of my favourites. The size is great ( just under half a kilo each ) and the taste is just like from the heaven. Simply grilled and as we are in Thailand it comes with chilli sauce 😉
You pick they clean they grill you eat…
