💗 We got this one wrong.

We’ve been running our Student Deal Monday–Friday, 3pm–5pm, and recently it was brought to our attention that a young person who is home educated couldn’t access the deal because they don’t have a school uniform.

And honestly… I should have thought about this.

We’ve always tried hard at The Sweet Jar to be an inclusive place for children and young people, and after introducing our SEN/Quiet Mondays, I realised we could, and should, do better here too.

So we’ve made some changes. ❤️

🍬 Our Student Deal is now 1pm–5pm, Monday–Friday.

We’ve extended the hours to give young people who may benefit from visiting during a quieter period more opportunity to come in.

And our deal is now for ALL students and young people who are studying, whether you’re at school, college, sixth form or home educated.

🎓 No school uniform? No problem.

Because being a student isn't about what you wear, it's about learning. 📚✨

Someone pointed it out. We listened. And we changed it.

We got it wrong, and we’re owning it. ❤️

Because everyone deserves to feel welcome at The Sweet Jar.

We couldn’t be prouder of Jade and her husband Tom, who took on the Great North Run together and crossed that finish line in an amazing 2 hours 42 minutes! You absolutely smashed it 🎉👏

You’ve both worked so hard and shown so much dedication with your training, and to see you cross that finish line together ❤️
