Ok, so the freehand writing is a bit pap ... but very happy otherwise with how my son's snorlax cake has come out. Almond sponge with almond buttercream. Fondant icing, the broken tips of white chocolate stars, and milk chocolate stars for the details.

A first birthday cake for Connor, one of my best friend's wee boy, and a wee cupcake for the birthday boy himself. Peanut butter sponge with salted caramel butter icing, and salted caramel filling. Elephant and balloon both fully edible! Two tone butter cream roses in the middle layer, which haven't photographed well!

Today's project ...

So ... My great passion other than my wee family is Crossfit. I'm a proud member of Crossfit Bathgate, and I've made this wee (massive, actually) number for our race night.

It's a kettle bell, sponge is a vibrant blue (I'll get a pic when it's cut), covered with black fondant.

This was my first time both with this mold, and working with fondant.

Overall I'm happy with how it turned out, though I'd have preferred the icing to be smoother. However, it's a freak hot day in Bathgate, which has affected the workability, and to be honest, I really need to practice working with it and watch a few more tutorials!

However, not bad, eh? 😁

Hi everyone, thanks for liking my wee page! I'm starting to build a bit of a portfolio, have 2 bakes coming up next week which I'll share when they're completed.

I'm a stay at home mummy looking to make a bit of extra cash whilst studying, so my prices aren't extortionate at all.
