As many of you know, we’re now part of Acorn Pubs, a collection of characterful pubs and inns across the Home Counties, operated by Brunning and Price. This gives us the opportunity to give our beautiful pub some well-deserved love, with a refreshed interior, updated food and drinks offering, and a brand-new name. When we reopen in early November, we’ll be welcoming you back as The Crooked Billet — a new identity inspired by the original name of the pub. 🤎

Week 3 at The Crooked Billet!

Things are really starting to come together! 👀

The furniture has officially arrived and is making its way into place, bringing us one step closer to seeing our vision come to life.

With every passing week, The Crooked Billet is beginning to feel more like a pub again, and we can’t wait to welcome you back through the doors.

Same familiar faces, a fresh new look, and plenty to look forward to!

A new name, a new look, and now a brand-new sign to make it official! ✨

It was a beautiful morning, so we thought we'd try out the AllTrails circular 3-mile walk to and from the pub (well slightly longer than 3-miles if you notice that bit on the film where we clearly went the wrong way!)
Just a shame there wasn't a nice warm coffee and a roaring fire at the end of it - it was colder than it looked!
A great way to work up an appetite in future.

WEEK TWO 🛠️

Things are really starting to take shape at The Crooked Billet!

Week two has seen plenty of progress, with the new colour scheme coming to life, artwork making its way onto the walls, seating being fitted and the bar areas beginning to look a lot more like their finished selves.

There’s still plenty happening behind the scenes, but we’re loving seeing all the little details come together and getting another step closer to welcoming you through the doors.
