Big weekend coming up on the peninsula and the weather is to be braw anaw! 🥳 ☀️

Saturday 🌻 – Moidart Produce Show Kinlochmoidart, doors open at 2pm
A proper Highland tradition and a lovely family day out. Tables full of flowers, veg, home baking and handicrafts, all grown and made by folk from round here, plus a pipe band, tug of war, pet parade and the prize giving auction and raffle to finish, it's a great wee window into community life on this peninsula – head along, have a cuppa and a cake, and cheer on the entries!

Sunday 🎨 – Craft Fair, Glenuig Hall, 11:00–15:30
Home baking, wood craft, art, resin and ceramics, all made by local hands. A lovely spot to pick up a one-of-a-kind souvenir or gift while supporting small local makers.

If you're touring Ardnamurchan and Moidart this weekend, make time for both – it's the best of the Highlands, one stall at a time. 🧡

📢 Heads up Troops... Bit of news from Toast & Tide!
This Saturday is our last Saturday daytime opening for the season — come say hello while you can!
Next week we're closed FRIDAY & SATURDAY as we've got groundworks happening at the café 🚧
But don't worry — after a few Saturdays off 😅🥳 we'll be back with a wee Seafood & Eat It throwback... BYOB evening meals 🌙🍽️ More details to follow soon 💛🍞🌊

Hell of a sad news today that the world has lost Dolly Parton and, like so many millions, it's hit us hard considering she's someone we've never met 🥹
Her music just got us didn't it. 9 to 5 for anyone who's ever grafted for a job that didn't pay them what they're worth, Jolene for anyone who's ever loved somebody hard enough to be scared of losing them, Coat of Many Colours for anyone who grew up with nothing but still felt rich in the ways that mattered. She wrote about real life, and that's why it stuck with so many.
Beyond the music, the woman gave over a MILLION books away every month through her Imagination Library to kids all over the world, no strings attached and helped them to engage in the absolute joy of stories. She quietly helped folk who lost everything in wildfires, floods, disasters, time and time again and never made a big song and dance about it.
She came from nothing in the Tennessee mountains and never forgot it. Genuinely one of the good ones.
Rest easy Dolly, your music will live on in us all and many generations to come🤍

Sun's oot at Toast & Tide the day and so is this absolute unit of a malteser cake 😍 Layers of chocolate sponge, malted buttercream and a proper malteser avalanche on top - one of our most popular cakes 😋
Also on the board: roasted local langoustines, fresh in and going fast and aye, it's once again TACO TUESDAY 🌮 - fish and veggie tacos in gluten-free corn tortillas, same as always but honestly they don't need changing, they're too good!
Come and get it while the sun's shining and the langos are still here 🍞 🌊

🎶 Local legends alert! 🎶 The Ceilidh Trail are playing Loch Shiel Hotel tonight and some of our very own Feis nan Garbh Chriochan stars are up there among them — so proud! 🙌
If you're about tonight, it'll be an absolute cracker! 🥳
FINAL NIGHT of the trail is at Salen Hall tomorrow so only a couple of chances left to witness this amazing group of musicians — don't miss it troops! 🥳🍞🌊
