Kazakh national cuisine consists mainly of horse meat or lamb. Kazakh cuisine dishes are cooked and quite fatty, they are often served with baursaks for a snack. Kazakh cuisine restaurants serve koumiss or shubat dishes, mare and camel milk in Almaty.
