✨ Al-Manhal Fundraiser : Dîner syrien de levées de fonds pour Al Manhal ✨
On Thursday, April 16, join us at Ten Belles Bread for a special Syrian dinner ❤️
Come share a meal with us and support a project close to our hearts: the community bakery and bookshop مخبز ومكتبة المنهل in Damascus.
As Syrians begin the long process of rebuilding their country after decades of dictatorship and fourteen years of war, initiatives like Al Manhal are working at a local, human scale to effect change.
Their mission:
📚 making quality books accessible to everyone
🍞 bringing a restored century-old wood-fired oven back to life, using local grains and ingredients
🤝 creating jobs for people often marginalized by conflict and repression (former detainees, women, and people with disabilities)
For this event: we’re lucky to welcome the co-founders, Asser Khattab and Brant Stewart, who will share their story with us.
