Our menu embraces a wide variety of Italian flavours. We want to make it tasty and keep it light with a modern touch and an element of surprise. For ideas and inspiration, we have roamed the Italian provinces and global metropolises such as Rome, London and San Francisco.
The fresh ingredients are procured locally from trusted suppliers with no quality compromises. Certain things, however, must remain authentically Italian: the cold cuts and oils, for example, represent the plentiful food basket of Italy. We are proud of everything we offer, particularly the fresh pastas that we make ourselves every morning.
Experiences are best enjoyed shared. This is why most of the dishes on our list have been designed for social eating, to be enjoyed between friends. You can pick out a number of different flavours from the list or try one of the menus planned by our chefs.
We boldly claim that our selection of Italian wines is the best in Finland. The wine list, put together with love and passion, boasts the finest offerings of Italy's wine-producing regions.
Furthermore, our cocktails are always an enjoyable experience in their own right, and our competent bartenders also master the making of Negroni and other classics. Iconic Italian specialties such as amari and grappas have a strong presence on the list as well.
Our Caffé
Caffé, our Italian café within the same walls as the osteria, offers excellent coffee together with Italian-style stuffed breads and other savoury and sweet treats that we bake ourselves. Come in for a quick espresso at the counter in Italian fashion perhaps with biscotti to dip or for a sturdier breakfast whilst seated comfortably at the table. Our baked treats are available to take away as well. The café is also open for service between the lunch and dinner hours, and you can also book a table from there.
Our responsibility
We consider it very important to conduct our operations responsibly, whether in regard of the ingredients, our staff or recycling. We make everything ourselves right from the beginning and know exactly the sources of the ingredients. Locally and organically produced ingredients are preferred, when this is purposeful from the flavour standpoint. As partners we select the best people and companies in their respective fields and ones that operate on the basis of a sustainable set of ethical values.
Our eggs are laid by free-range chicken, and our bread is baked either by us or Levain Bakery Eatery, also part of the BW Restaurants family. We recycle everything that we can and adjust food portion sizes based on feedback to minimise plate waste.
We pay constant attention to the well-being of our staff, particularly focusing on maintaining their occupational health with the support of comprehensive occupational health services.
