Warrior Coffee alumnae Brittney Gross lived in Peralta and worked with coffee producers for a year following graduation. Today, she joined Dr. Caroline Payne for a meeting with the El Naranjito Association during which she shared the knowledge she has gained as a coffee professional working in the U.S. for five years. We are so proud of her and honored so many Dominican coffee producers invested in her all those years ago.

What is the Warrior Coffee Project? The Warrior Coffee Project was founded in 2013 as an inter-disciplinary experiential learning opportunity at Lycoming College. The college has formed a strong connection with the coffee farming community of El Naranjito in the Dominican Republic over the last seven years, featuring yearly trips to the community. Students are given the opportunity to collaborate directly with coffee farmers in the region on altering production techniques to meet specialty coffee standards. Warrior Coffee is sold exclusively online at Alabaster Coffee Roasters, the Williamsport Wegman’s, and all over Lycoming College’s campus. Our sustainable development efforts in the Dominican Republic wouldn’t be possible without the collaboration and support of amazing partners like Rusty Rail Brewing Company and Alabaster Coffee Roaster & Tea Company. Thanks for supporting student learning, helping us empower producers, and for making some delicious beverages.

Every time you order a Wolf King you're supporting The Warrior Coffee Project!
Professors and Students at Lycoming College work with coffee growers in the Dominican Republic to improve their farming practices to produce specialty grade coffee. The coffee beans are then roasted to perfection by Alabaster Coffee & Tea Co. and brewed into the delicious Imperial Stout you know and love!

A little video from Coop and Association member Milkin back in February. Because of access to capital made available by a micro-lending project, farmers are now able to enhance infrastructure like these drying patios to produce higher quality coffee.
