and .labs.dance 's shared mission for Storya was always to provide a safe space for stories to be told.

Cultural Representation is so important to us. Hence, we are so thankful to our friends who shared their diverse stories through their art.❤️

Thank you so much

We try our best to make Storya accessible to all. Gregory Lai will present his works for the first time... ever... in public!👏🏻 That takes a lot of courage, and we're so proud of him!🥳

🫶🏻 In his own words:

"Born in Mexico, grew up in Santiago de Chile and lives now in Munich Germany.

I started to paint, dance and sing from a young age.

For an artist the art comes like waves. You cannot really rush it or pressure it.

Sometimes you feel when the moment is there and you take it. Something inside you listens and that's how you start and create the most beautiful and authentic pieces of art.

I let my inner voice guide me and this voice is very loud. That's good. I get in a state of trance and that is what helps me bring the most out of my ability."

Catch Gregory Lai at Storya on May 9!🎉

I love art that draws me in & gives me good feeling. And above all, I love working with artists with good positive energy... and that's exactly what I got from Vanessa Hoffmann of .illustration !❤️

Her works invite you to play! So we conceptualized & curated an interactive art exhibit for you to enjoy!🥳 Curious? Well, come to Storya Festival on May 9!🤗

🫶🏻 In her own words
"Vanessa Hoffmann is an artist from Florida, America. She focuses on people, the many forms of them and the stories they come with. What it is to be human, studies of society, and the ups and downs of what we call life. Her many years of working with children has influenced her art in a playful childlike way. Bold colors, many details, and losing yourself in the images, discovering something new each time. Becoming a game, an interaction with the art, playing."

Catch .illustration at Storya Festival on May 9!🥰

We're so excited to share that will perform live at Storya Festival! 🥳 I'm honestly sooooo happy and lucky to have met .photographer

Because of her desire to support the arts & culture community, you'll experience:

1. Her photo exhibit - DRUMS OF RESISTANCE
Mestra Joana, Maracatu and the Strength of the Female Collective

"Drums of Resistance is a contemporary documentary research project that turns its gaze
toward the cultural and political transformations that run through the tradition of maracatu,
guided by the leadership of Mestra Joana Cavalcante in Recife, Brazil."

2. A live maracatu performance! 🤩

In their own words:
🫶🏻 "Maracatu is an Afro-Brazilian cultural expression that permeates multiple dimensions of
social, spiritual, and artistic life. It originates in Black communities connected to Candomblé temples, brotherhoods, and traditions linked to the coronation of the King of Congo. More than a musical or carnival expression, it is a practice that weaves together religiosity, ancestry, and Black cultural resistance. Within this tradition, the rhythm is led by the drum, the percussive formation that sustains
and organizes collective time."

✅️ This is one of those performances YOU SHOULDN'T MISS!

These experiences are included in your ticket!🌸

Watercolor art to encourage reflection... that's what .art is inviting you to do through her works.❤️

🫶🏻 In Nora's own words:
"Nora Suárez uses watercolor portraits to examine language, identity, and the immigrant experience. Her work centers on women who navigate multiple cultures, exploring how language can oppress, transform, and ultimately define us. Her portraits are quiet yet powerful — faces that hold entire worlds within them."
