Rösterei VIER Düsseldorf Specialty Coffee Roasters

Moments around HQ.

Keep your eyes open and there’s always something happening, bags being packed, coffee being dialled in, familiar faces stopping by, deliveries arriving, ideas flying around and conversations stretching longer than planned.
And even when things seem quiet, every now and then the roaster starts up in the background.

A little noisy, a little unpredictable, and never really standing still. Just another day around HQ.

Beyond the vinyl, the music and the celebration, there was a story worth sitting down for. In this interview, Maggie Kadrum reflects on Kumbi, her musical roots and the sound she created together with her band.

Come by our HQ to listen to the vinyl in person, or click the link in our bio for SoundCloud.

Kumbi by is here 🇲🇼

Our connection to Malawi has always gone beyond coffee. Music has been part of that relationship from the very beginning. Since partnering with the Lake of Stars Festival in 2019, we’ve hosted radio shows, festivals at , and events in Lilongwe.

Releasing Maggie Kadrum’s music feels like a natural next step. We discovered Maggie through the Lilongwe-based venue Uka and were immediately drawn to her debut album Nkhwiza. Her powerful voice carries deeply progressive themes, supported by a remarkable band featuring Charles Burton (drums), Gilbert Simuchoba (percussion), Don Chisenga (keys), Dom Dada (guitar), and Mattalege (bass).

Together, they blend modern jazz influences with traditional East African sounds, creating a musical language that feels both contemporary and deeply rooted.

On the first release from our in-house label RVTC Records, we’re featuring two tracks from their debut album and releasing them on vinyl in a freshly remastered version. The EP is rounded out with the exclusive first two singles from their upcoming album, “Mama” and “Kumbi.”

We‘re celebrating the release of with a bundle of two Malawian coffees so drop by the Wallstreet HQ and take a listen 🤙🏼

TASTE IN STEREO feat. John Wilmer Cuellar 🇨🇴

On Tuesday, June 30, 16:00 you can join us for a unique sensory journey through the coffees of coffee producer Jhon Wilmer Cuellar from Finca Las Brisas, Huila.

We’ll serve a series of coffee flights showcasing different coffees and processing styles from Jhon Wilmer’s farm & his Friends from .col

Each coffee will be paired with a carefully selected soundtrack by RVTC Radio, exploring how flavor, texture and aroma can be translated into sound.

After the tasting experience will spin some Huila inspired records, followed by a chance to meet Jhon Wilmer himself, ask questions and learn more about the people and stories behind the coffees.

Sign up for free and let us know if we can count you in through DM or the Eventbrite link in our bio 🔗

Death before decaf is dead!

If you’re after all the thrills without the chills, we’ve got five decafs waiting for you – from clean and classic to wildly experimental (and more on the way).

Swipe from left to right and watch decaf get funkier and more experimental. Which one are you reaching for first: traditional, funky, or somewhere in between? 🔮

BLACK HONEY ROBUSTA IS BACK 🇮🇳
Our latest release from Navin Rajes and MSP Coffee at Moganad Estate in Tamil Nadu showcases a side of Canephora (aka Robusta) that deserves more attention.

This lot is produced from Congensis × Robusta or short C x R, a variety developed by the Coffee Board of India through crossing Coffea congensis with Coffea canephora.

The goal was ambitious: create a coffee with the vigor, productivity and resilience of Robusta while improving bean size and cup quality. Researchers have described CxR as one of India’s most important breeding efforts toward a more refined Canephora cup profile. Depending on who you ask, its significance lies either in its improved sensory potential or in the high yields and resilience that made it attractive to growers across India.

For us this C x R is much softer, cleaner and more nuanced than any other Canephora we have ever tried.

One reason might be that MSP put a lot of attention into processing this coffee as a Black Honey - a hybrid process that combines steps from both the washed and natural process.

Whatever happened to it while processing- it amplified everything we love about fine Canephora: dense sweetness, heavy body and layers of almond butter, raisins, toffee and cocoa while delivering a clean and sweet cup that reminds us of fresh vanilla.

A coffee that proves Robusta can be more than just intensity. Best enjoyed as a Single Origin Espresso.
