Right in the middle of I. P. Pavlova, we have something quite rare - a peaceful garden hidden from the heat and rush of the city. ☀

Instead of spending another afternoon on hot pavement, step into the shade and enjoy a slower pace with us!

→ A small reminder → this Saturday will be our last open Saturday before we switch to our summer opening hours.

𑁍 FRESH SPRING HARVEST 2026 𑁍

Jin Jun Mei is one of the rarest and most labor-intensive black teas from the Wuyi Mountains. It is made exclusively from tiny spring buds, each harvested by hand 𓂩. This demanding process is part of what makes the tea so special - producing just 500 grams requires approximately 6,000-7,000 carefully picked buds.

Our Jin Jun Mei comes from the rocky, sandy soils of the Wuyi Mountains, which give the tea the rich mineral character typical of this unique terroir.

The aroma brings notes of gingerbread spices, dried flowers, cinnamon, cocoa, and precious woods. The taste is full and elegant, with hints of cinnamon, cocoa, dried flowers, and a long honey=like finish.

We had a wonderful time last weekend at the ꧁ Festival bonsají a japonské kultury ꧂ in Botanická zahrada Praha, meeting so many tea lovers, curious visitors, and familiar faces.

❀ MATCHA ❀ is probably the one tea that almost everyone knows today, even if they know very little about tea. Somehow, it has become the most popular tea of recent years.

𝗕𝘂𝘁 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗮.

At Lao Tea, we take matcha seriously. We work only with trusted producers and source authentic, high-quality Japanese matcha. The matcha shown here comes from the Kanayamidori cultivar from Miyazaki Prefecture on the island of Kyushu in Japan. The tea plants were shaded for 30 days before harvest and then stone-ground to order. That means it is 𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝗮𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗮 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗯𝗲.
