2026 CARMABI Coral Spawning Predictions are out now

We are pleased to share this year’s coral spawning predictions. Based on last year’s surveys (and those from the 30+ years before that), we have come up with predictions for the dates and times when many Caribbean coral species will produce the next generation of corals. Note that these predictions are only applicable to the Southern Caribbean and that spawning events of some species remain difficult to predict.

The predictions can be downloaded through the link below that also includes a short survey to measure our reach and to provide the community with resources throughout the year. (You can also just scroll down and click Submit if you want to get to the predictions that way.) Please point your friends, customers, colleagues to the survey link as well.

New American Airlines Checked Baggage Fees
Changes to bag allowances and fees have been updated as of April 9, 2026.
Travel within / between the U.S., Puerto Rico, and U.S. Virgin Islands – 1st checked bag fee is $50 ($45 if you pay online) and the 2nd checked bag fee is $60 ($55 if you pay online).
Travel to / from Canada, Caribbean (except Cuba / Haiti), Mexico, Central America (except Panama), and Guyana – 1st checked bag fee is $50 ($45 if you pay online) and the 2nd checked bag fee is $60 ($55 if you pay online). 3rd checked bag is $200
All bag fees are non-refundable when paid at the airport and apply per person, at each check-in location, each way, even if you buy or get an upgrade that includes free checked bags.
