I’m showing the map, the studio shot, and the installation shot because this is exactly where customization becomes practical, not theoretical.
You’ll notice the studio and install versions have fewer flowers than the original map. For some designs, adding or subtracting motifs makes absolute sense. It can shift the whole feeling of the rug without losing the language of the design.
With Anemone, the scale of the flowers is generous enough that you don’t have to worry about the pattern disappearing under furniture. Even in a dining room, the design still reads. But in this case, the clients wanted more negative space and a slightly more modern feeling, so we pulled back some of the floral density.
You could just as easily take this in another direction and add a border, especially for a dining room where part of the field will sit beneath the table and chairs.
This is the kind of customization we love: thoughtful, useful, and tied to how the room will actually be lived in.
Not change for the sake of change. Change that makes the rug work harder for the project.
