Our tea last Sunday was terrific! 74 people attended, and our team did a fantastic job of preparing the food and serving our guests.

Our next tea will be October 25th. Here is the link if you want to get ahead of ticket sales. The last one was sold out for the 12 and 1 pm slots, so get your tickets ahead of time. Oh - anyone wearing a Halloween costume will get a special treat!

Why do so many people say we have the best french fries in Regina? Or you could ask why we cook our fries in beef tallow? Well, first let me say that all our fries are cut in house. They soak to remove loose starches, then are drained, then precooked for 3 minutes. This makes them quicker to cook when you order them, and gives that double fried crispy texture.

Now the beef tallow. Beef tallow gives a savory delicious flavor and aroma. The high smoke point lets us use a temperature that makes the fries extra crispy on the outside, while they remain fluffy and tender on the inside. At the same time, beef tallow is very stable, so it does not oxidize as quickly as vegetable oils, meaning the flavor stays consistent, and the fries remain delicious. As a natural fat, beef tallow is much less processed than other options, which many people prefer.

Summary - crispier, richer, better tasting fries.

Every Fryday (Friday - get it?) we have some version of our fries on deal. Come try some of the best fries in Regina at 2400 13th Avenue! Open for fries 11 to 2 weekdays, then open until 3 for coffee and baking.

Monday - Quesadillas are $2 off.
Tuesday - egg salad sandwich meals are $2.00 off.
Wednesday - get a smoothie and we will give you a scoop of protein powder for free.
Thursday - The Mushroom Amburgur is $2 off. And you can have a second burger patty on it for just $3 (instead of $5).

We are adding these to our menu. They are $6.75 and very very yummy. 42 grams of protein with 230 calories is a perfect workout recovery or muscle maintenance dose. And did I mention they are very very yummy? Now - I still think our smoothies with whey protein added have more to offer with the antioxidants, fibre and vitamins in the fruit, but this is less expensive, ready as quick as we can hand you the bottle, and easy to transport and drink on the go.

We are looking at adding other grab and go options. What would you add? Beef or bison jerky? Dried fruit? Protein bars? Breakfast wraps? Fresh fruit? We have some display cooler space to play with - what do you want in there?

We're preparing for the tea service on Sunday. We're not really cutting the cucumbers yet - that will happen Sunday, but we are getting ready to roll. In order to have time to get everything ready, the cut off for ticket sales is tomorrow at 4 pm. Get your tickets now if you want to attend!

Check this out! Ok, when you come for afternoon tea we are going to let you choose which cup you will use! Donations from four different people have given us this collection of cups. If you zoom in on the picture you will see a lot of different designs, something to suit everybody! Tea tastes so much better from a proper china cup, and if the design suits your tastes, well, that's beautiful.

I'm not saying you should have an espresso shot at 7 or 8 at night, but TOMORROW espresso shots are only $2! Two of those and your eyes won't close all afternoon! Your boss should pay for them! Here, Bonnie is teaching you how to make espresso with Caliber Coffee beans and a nice touch of love.

Meal deals this week.
Monday will be $2 off the chicken bacon ranch wrap meal.
Tuesday will be $2 for an espresso shot.
Wednesday is $1.50 off the small smoothie and $2 off the large ones.
Thursday is $2 off the veggie bowls.
Fryday will be $1.50 off small fries, or $2 off large fries.

We started selling espresso today. We will add Canadianos tomorrow (we renamed the Americano because why wouldn't we?) and once our team is all trained up for these we'll add cappucinos in a week or two.

We can add espresso shots to coffee, to ice coffee, to smoothies, to to ice cream, to... well, never mind - that was going to get too crazy! We use locally roasted beans from Caliber Coffee. Come give it a try!
