Today, we celebrate International Inuit Day, a time to honour the strength, wisdom, and enduring traditions of Inuit across the North.

As part of the Co-op system, we’re proud to stand alongside Inuit communities, learning from their knowledge, guided by their values, and inspired by their deep connection to the land and one another.

The stories shared here are just a few from communities across the North, each with their own unique and beautiful story to tell about who they are and why they are proud of their culture.

We invite you to celebrate with us, share your own stories, memories, and reflections in the comments below.

Together, we continue to build a stronger North, rooted in respect, resilience, and unity.
