Toasted rice tutorial time!

There are several ways to make toasted rice or popped rice, this is more of a mid pop/toast technique that I’ve learnt from my culinary days in restaurants. If you like those bits of crunchy, half popped nutty corn kernels at the bottom of the popcorn bowl, this one is for you!

A little sneak peek into our latest event with HMCS Ottawa. It was so great working alongside Wheelhouse Brewing Company for this one…it always feels like family. ❤️❤️🫶🫶.

Hello everyone! We are already over half sold for this beautiful Friendsgiving dinner taking place at a private property in Port Edward. Please visit our website at www.cloudberrycateringcompany.com/popup if you would like to reserve your seat today as the tickets are selling quick! Friendsgiving will be taking place on October 11th at 6:30pm. The location address will be shared two days before the event with everyone who purchased a seat.

A little background to Friendsgiving…when we started doing these gatherings, the idea was to bring community together through the shared love of food and good company. We’ve heard stories of past Friendsgiving dinners being a place in which community gets to know each other a little better, to have conversations with our neighbours and to make new friends. At Cloudberry, we recognize the colonial history behind Thanksgiving and see this as an opportunity to form something that allows for conversation, for gathering and for honouring the unceded territory of the Coast Tsimshian (Ts’msyen) Nation by celebrating local ingredients. As a food company from Prince Rupert, with respect to the land and the people that resided here way before us, we feel like it is important to treat these ingredients with great love and care. This is a celebration of a seasons’ end and a celebration of community.

This special evening is about more than just great food, it’s about gathering around the table, celebrating community, and sharing a meal with the people we cherish. We invite you to join us for an evening of thoughtfully prepared food, local-inspired flavours, and the joy of being in one beautiful space with our lovely community.
