This weekend reminded us why we keep coming back.
When we first started showing up at N89 races, it wasn’t just to serve coffee. We came because we love this community. The amount of heart, time, and hard work Kathy, Sean and her small crew pours into bringing people together is something truly special, and we’re grateful to play a small part in it.
Thanks for all the messages of support and love for Tyler this weekend! Every cheer, every conversation, every person showing up for one another was a reminder of what makes this community so different.
What fills our cups (no pun intended ☕) really is just making the coffee that make people gather around and getting to know those that gather! Hearing stories from people who have learned to embrace discipline, chase impossible goals, and willingly step into discomfort to become stronger versions of themselves. Those conversations are what stick with us long after the last cup is poured.
The athletes are inspiring, but the trail running community is something else entirely. It’s welcoming. It’s humble. It’s the kind of place where complete strangers become your biggest supporters, where everyone’s success is celebrated, and where encouragement comes as naturally as the miles.
They say you’re the average of the people you surround yourself with. If that’s true, then we can’t think of a better group to be around. Every race leaves us inspired to work harder, dream bigger, be kinder and the best versions of ourselves.
Thank you, North of 89 Outdoors for building something so much bigger than a race series. And thank you to everyone who stopped by the tent, shared your story, grabbed a coffee, or simply said hello.
We’re already looking forward to the next one. 🤎☕🏃🌲
