It’s a Barn Country sunrise 🍁☀️

We will be celebrating October all month with near b**rs and bratwurst specials…

German style
Philly style
Jalapeño Cheddar
Prairie Harvest

Regular menu is always available.

All of our meat is sourced within the RM of Rosedale. Our fish is Manitoba Pickerel. Our vegetarian burger option is Manitoba Wild Rice.

The bison burger and all of our brats are served on a real sourdough bun from our local certified sourdough farm bakery 🍁🍞

Come and say hello … the bratwurst specials are all yummy housemade sauces and slaws and caramelized goodness.

We joke around here that the only fights allowed at the Barn Country Store are over who pays 😂 So far, that has been the case… people come in for food, and a person will say “I’ve got it” and then someone else says “no, I’ve got it”.

We’ve got gift certificates now. If you’re looking for a way to buy local, and give a gift to someone you care about or to show appreciation.

We will also be putting lovely gift baskets together leading up to Christmas…

Fall and winter at the Barn Country Store means good food, old songs, fiddle tunes, long tables, records, retreats, Christmas gatherings, and plenty of reasons to linger.

Our regular hours of 8am-7pm Tues to Sunday, and our café menu will continue through the season with a few special events woven into our life at the Barn.

In gratitude to Dolly Parton who showed us how to be kind and uplifting, instead of petty and mean-spirited, while still keeping a wildly wonderful sense of humour… (the list of who she was, and what she did, wraps around the wide world like an embrace.)

Today’s special: Our cinnamon bun is like climbing the stairway to heaven… real butter, real maple syrup in the sticky sauce. Let’s take it to the next level 🧀.

We posted a beautiful photo of our cafe team the other day… now it is time to thank our fuel station/storefront staff!

Ian, Shael, and Zoe. We are so grateful for you… you’ve learned so much and we appreciate all you do… we will never forget your time here with us!

We also want to give a shout out to Dave Winthrop who was part of the team in a big way as we stepped in to this role.

As we round the bend toward winter, The Barn Country Store | Kelwood, MB is dedicated to keeping our staff employed, so you will see these sweet faces when you come to visit us.

We operate long hours to ensure the services are here for travellers and locals alike. When you pull up and it’s -30 out, one of these amazing humans will be leaving the warmth of the Barn to pump your gas. ⛽️
