We’re happy to announce the four daycares selected for Da Cecot’s fresh pasta giveaway:

✨ Intercultural Child & Family Centre
✨ LCDS Preschool & Kindergarten
✨ Rosa’s Licensed Dayhome
✨ Enchanted Forest Daycare

Each daycare will receive 5 kg of fresh pasta to share with the children in their care.

Thank you to everyone who nominated a daycare and shared a story with us. It was wonderful to read about the people caring for children in our community.

Nominations are officially closed—and our hearts are incredibly full. ❤️🍝

Thank you to every parent, caregiver and community member who took the time to nominate a daycare and share the love, care and dedication they experience there.

As a mother, I felt every message deeply. I could feel the love, trust and respect that families pour into the people entrusted with caring for our children.

If the decision belonged only to Da Cecot, every nominated daycare would be a winner. Every story was deserving, and every educator recognized through this project deserves to feel seen, appreciated and celebrated.

🍝 DA CECOT GIVES BACK

To celebrate our first year, we’re sharing the food that brought us here with the community that welcomed us.

Four licensed childcare centres within Edmonton city limits will each receive:

• 5 kg of freshly made semolina pasta
• Packaged in convenient 1 kg portions
• Approximately 83 child-sized servings, based on 60 g per child
• An approximate value of $100 per daycare

That’s more than 330 little portions of pasta shared across our community. ❤️

TO NOMINATE A DAYCARE:

1. Comment the daycare’s name below
2. Tell us why you’re nominating them
3. Tag the daycare if possible

Sharing this post is optional, but it will help us spread the word.

Nominations close September 25, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. MT.

The four selected daycares will be announced September 28, with delivery within Edmonton on Wednesday, September 30.

Recipients will be selected by Da Cecot based on the stories shared, community impact, and the daycare’s ability to receive, store and use the pasta. This is not a random draw. No purchase is necessary.

FOOD INFORMATION
Ingredients: durum wheat semolina and water.
Made without eggs. Contains wheat. Prepared in a peanut-free kitchen. The pasta will be delivered frozen with storage and cooking instructions.

DA CECOT IS ONE! 🎉🍝

One year ago, Da Cecot was only a dream. Today, it is our little family kitchen—a place filled with handmade pasta, shared tables and beautiful memories.

During our first year, we handmade and served more than 1.1 tonnes—that’s over 1,100 kg—of fresh pasta!

Every piece was made with our hands, our family traditions and so much love.

This first year brought challenges, lessons and many reasons to keep going. To everyone who visited us, ordered our pasta, attended a class, celebrated around our tables or simply encouraged us: thank you for being part of our story.

Grazie di cuore, Edmonton. ❤️
