Agatha Christie (1890–1976) was an English crime novelist and playwright, widely known as the "Queen of Mysteries." As the best-selling author of all time, her 66 detective novels and 14 short-story collections have sold billions of copies and introduced iconic sleuths like Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple.
Beyond her literary fame, she also wrote The Mousetrap, which holds the record for the longest-running stage play in history. She is also credited with writing six romantic novels under the pen name Mary Westmacott.
