Why ?
The coffee you buy from your super market is not going to be the same coffee you try out at a coffee shop, this is all because of many factors:
1. Level of quality ( how old the coffee is and where it comes from 📍)
2. Is it fresh bean or already grounded ( grows old quicker)
3. Roast of coffee and packaging
Ultimately coffee has to be well sealed before sold to you and needs to have a fresh smell once you open the bag.
You will never get freshness or specialty coffee at a super market because is bought in big quantities and usually product is on shelf for months.
Tip:
Invest in good coffee buying from local roasters or coffee shop local brands!
