The terrace had a good run. It saw a lot of sunsets, a lot of spritzes and a few things we agreed not to talk about.

Now it’s getting colder, so we’re moving the whole thing indoors, one piece at a time. Same river, same people, more layers.

That's it. That's summer.

Café Society took over Het Eilandje this weekend, and Sommar closed right in the middle of it. Last cocktails, last sunsets, last rounds that turned into "one more."

Thank you to everyone who showed up, stayed too long, and made this season one worth closing properly.

Terrace's empty now. Glasses are away. Sommar's closed. But the building isn't, FOUR is taking over from here, so the pizza and the good chaos aren't going anywhere.

(Don't panic. We'll be back next summer. But first: dig out your skis, get them tuned, WINTAR's got some plans and we're already excited.)

This Friday, the whole neighborhood closes summer together. Café Society, every bar and terrace around here, one big send-off. We're part of it.

Autumn's sneaking in, taking a bit of daylight with it. Fair trade though, the best sunsets of the year just moved up to happy hour.
