Whether it’s breakfast, lunch or dinner, our homemade Aloo Parathas make for a wholesome and satisfying meal any time of day. Each paratha is stuffed with a generous filling of mildly spiced, herby mashed potatoes, kneaded and pan fried in Desi ghee with absolutely no oil used. Served with homemade yogurt and a seasonal achar that changes with the weather (currently comes with mango pickle), this classic combo is as nourishing as it is comforting. One is more than enough to keep you going for hours, but we won’t blame you if you reach for a second.

And that's not all. Our Aloo Parathas are also available frozen!

It was a true honour for The Darjeeling Express to be part of the Noboborsho Fair at the International School Dhaka. We feel incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve our food and be welcomed so warmly by the entire school community—students, teachers, staff, and parents alike.

From the moment we arrived, we were embraced with kindness and enthusiasm. The response we received touched our hearts deeply, and we’re especially thankful to the organisers for their thoughtful hospitality and seamless coordination.

This experience was not only memorable but also unexpectedly nostalgic. Being on campus brought back vivid memories of my own days in boarding school—where my journey with food truly began. It was there that I first discovered the recipes and flavours that now shape The Darjeeling Express. To return to a school setting, this time with my own food venture, felt like life had come full circle.

Our time at ISD left a lasting impression. It felt like home—a place where stories are shared, cultures celebrated, and hearts connected. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the entire school and the event organisers for making us feel so valued and appreciated. This experience will remain close to our hearts for a long time to come, and we hope to be able to serve and collaborate with the ISD family again.
