☕ A Quick Note From Us

We opened as usual this morning because we know how important that first coffee and breakfast can be, and we wanted to make sure our regulars could still start their day with us.

We'll be closing a little early today (12/10/2026) at 9:00am while we make a trip to Tormina to collect some café equipment that's been in for servicing.

Little Stray Winds will be back to our normal trading hours tomorrow, with the coffee machine humming and the toasties ready to go.

Thank you for your understanding, and thank you for continuing to make us part of your morning routine. We never take that support for granted.

🥪🎶 THE BEET GOES ON 🎶🥪

The Naughty Nordic had its moment.
The Cubano earned its fans.
The Sourdough Supremo made plenty of noise.

Now it's time for our newest limited-time feature toastie...

The Beet Goes On

Launching tomorrow at Little Stray Winds Café.

Built on toasted sourdough and loaded with smoky pastrami, beetroot relish, Danish feta, red onion, peppery rocket and our own house-made dill horseradish cream.

Before it made the menu, we put it to the test with three of our loyal customers.

The result?

✅ Three very happy taste testers.
✅ One customer loved it so much they came back later the same day and ordered a full toastie.

We can't promise you'll do the same......but we wouldn't be surprised.

The smoky pastrami (locally sourced), creamy feta, sweet beetroot relish and that handmade dill horseradish cream create a toastie that's bold, balanced and just a little bit different.

Like all our feature toasties, The Beet Goes On is here for a good time, not a long time.

It's going to be a warm day down at the Woodburn Riverside Festival. What better way to enjoy the day with an Icey, Fruity Frappe from Little Stray Winds cafe or if you prefer, all these flavours also come as a Smoothie.

While grabbing one check out and vote in the kids "People's Choice" art competition.

Come on in today, grab a coffee, something to eat and see what the kids have done. You can also vote on your favourite piece as part of the people's choice award.

🌬️ Little Stray Winds Café — Card Surcharge Update
We’re moving early. Effective today, we’ve removed all card payment surcharges at Little Stray Winds Café.

You’ll notice this change right away at our home base:

This update aligns with the upcoming Reserve Bank of Australia rules taking effect on 1 October 2026, but we’ve chosen to roll it out now to keep things simple and transparent for our community.

What this means for you: No card surcharges on eftpos, Mastercard, Visa or Amex

Our menu prices are not increasing — everything stays exactly as it is. Pay however you like: tap, wallet, card or cash

What this means for us: Even though surcharges are gone, cafés still pay fees every time a card is tapped. Under the new rules, those fees must be absorbed by the business.

We want to be upfront with our Little Stray Winds family:
We’re choosing not to raise prices right now, even though we’re absorbing these costs earlier than required.

How you can support your local café: If you’d like to help us keep prices steady while we absorb these changes, paying cash is the most effective way. It reduces the fees we pay and helps us keep Little Stray Winds affordable for everyone — especially during a time when costs across Australia continue to rise.

No pressure, no guilt — just a simple option for those who want to support their local businesses.
