From supporting local producers and responsibly sourced seafood to reducing food waste and energy use, caring for Kangaroo Island is part of our everyday.

Our kitchen team uses fermentation, pickling and creative cooking to make ingredients go further, while suitable food scraps go to a local farmer for composting and worm farming. Even your drink containers help support the CFS! 💚

And this is only just the beginning. With The Cliffs Kangaroo Island opening soon, we’re looking forward to introducing further sustainable food and waste management initiatives across the Seafront Group.

The Penneshaw Pub will be closing for just a few more days as we get stuck into Stage 2 of renovations!

📅 Closed: Monday 7th – Saturday 12th September
🍻 Reopening: Sunday 13th September

We’ve still got a few more things to tick off the list as we continue working towards creating an even better space for our locals and visitors. We’re so excited to keep building on everything we’ve started and can’t wait to show you what’s next!

Our Sip N Save Bottleshop will operate as normal, 10am–6:30pm, Monday–Sunday, throughout the renovation period.

Thanks for your patience, support and enthusiasm while we continue to give the old girl a little love. ❤️

On Sunday, we celebrated the incredible produce of Kangaroo Island at our Ocean’s Bounty Producers Luncheon, proudly championing KI Oysters and Springs Road W**e Kangaroo Island

The menu was thoughtfully curated by our Senior Chef de Partie, Aidan Rice, showcasing the quality of our island’s produce alongside beautiful local wines.

A huge thank you to KI Oyster Farm and Springs Road W**ery for sharing their passion, knowledge and produce with us — and, most importantly, thank you to everyone who joined us around the table and made the afternoon such a memorable one.

It was an absolute joy to celebrate the people, produce and stories that make Kangaroo Island what it is.
