Time to get out of our mind and into a space of receiving and gratitude!

It's really important for our mind, body and soul to recognise the things that went well in our life. If we focus on the negative - the things that didn't work well or that made us feel sad or anxious then it's harder to be happy.

By focusing on went well and being grateful for them, it opens up the neural pathways to allow more positive things to happen for us.

What are three things that went well in your life today?

This was the trip that I met His Holiness the Dalai Lama and I wished not for my eyesight back... I wished to be able to teach the gift of mindfulness to others, to help them to be able to handle whatever s**t was going on in their life, whether it was struggling with work or relationships, feeling hopeless or dealing with chronic illness.

Sweet memories from my Buddhist Pilgrimage in 2018.

I'm doing volunteer work for the Buddhist Society this arvo and part of it saw me going through old photos. Gosh! What memories.

Check out the first photo - me with a blind cane!!

Gosh, how far I've come since then. 2018 was the year that I relinquished the fact that I was losing my vision, took a year off work inclusive of 3 months in a Buddhist meditation retreat and finishing off the year with the Pilgrimage and meeting His Holiness the Dalai Lama (photo below).

After spending three months in that meditation retreat, that miraculous healing occurred and meant the doctors could perform surgery in 2019 to get my sight back! Say what? Gosh, that is still so surreal for me!

I'm extremely humbled to say that I actually am living the wish that I made to His Holiness whilst on Pilgrimage. I'm sharing the gifts of mindfulness to support others through their most challenging and dark times.

All of the learnings that I've had through my Buddhist teacher's, including the Dalai Lama and my teacher in Australia, Lama Choedak Rinpoche, as well as my life experiences are all wrapped up into my 6-week course that is kicking off on Monday 16 August!

It's normal and it's ok 🙂

Struggling to stay focused on what's in front of us with all of our competing priorities and finding it hard to see the positives when there's so much negativity, it's inevitable to start to get to us.

Thankfully taking a few mindful moments and I'm feeling back to my happy-self.

Are you feeling the overwhelming emotions today too?

Wow! What an emotional energy that's encompassing us right now.

Fear, uncertainty, indecisiveness, lack of self confidence or worth, overwhelm, stress, tears, anger, the list goes on!

I've been unwell for the past two weeks with a sinus issue triggering chronic pain around my eyes and I'm noticing that my normal self-protection systems have lowered and man am I feeling the feels!

So I wanted to pop in and share that with you guys and also give you the opportunity to express how you're feelings.

Connection and togetherness is really important ALL the time.

Even if it is connecting with yourself.

I'm also going to lead us through a quick energy clearing and protection bubble meditation. (Note to self, need to do more of those when I'm not 100%).

Self-healing for the soul

Nat is your Go-to Zen Chick. She is passionate about supporting people to self-heal through meditation, mindfulness and wellbeing practices.

Nat has an inspiring story of resilience, in August 2015 the doctors told her that she would be blind by Christmas. That heart-wrenching moment changed Nat’s life, she knew there had to be another way to help herself; it was time to look within. Nat’s soul searching worked, on that Christmas morning she woke up and she still had some sight! Though it wasn’t enough to allow her to get about safely without a blind-cane and the limited sight meant that Nat had to re-consider her career.

She was determined to continue on this path of meditation, mindfulness and energy work, to calm her nervous system and allow her body to restore itself.

Fast forward to the present day, and Nat is living her dream life in a cute beachside town, with most of her sight restored! After successful eye surgery in 2019, she left her life in the city to pursue a simpler one, where she can teach the gifts meditation and chakras by the beach.
