GLEBE POINT ROAD WILL BE CLOSED TO TRAFFIC AND OPEN TO BUSINESSES ON THE 12TH OF FEBUARY 2022
The City of Sydney’s Sydney Summer Streets program is coming to Glebe next Valentines day
As part of the City of Sydney’s Covid recovery plan, high streets around the city are being activated for early next year. These streets will become centres of walking, shopping, dining and exploring local businesses during the day-long event.
Glebe Point Road will be closed to traffic on February 12th 2022, and local businesses will be able to use the footpath and road space to display goods, seat customers and create events.
Local Glebe businesses can use up to 0.6 meters of the footpath to display goods without having to apply for a permit.
To use space on Glebe Point Road for dining, displaying goods or creating experiences for your customers, you must apply for a free permit.
If you’re creating an event on the 12th of February, you can upload it to the City’s What’s On site, where it will be promoted for free as part of the City of Sydney’s marketing for the Summer Streets program.
You can also contact the Glebe Chamber of Commerce and we will promote your event through our channels.
