👨‍🍳 About Chef Kazu

Chef Kazu is the former owner-chef of Osakabar Sake & Dining, which he founded in 2022 as a specialty venue combining kaiseki-inspired omakase, premium sake, and a signature live lobster course.
He ran the restaurant alongside his wife Mari, an internationally certified sake sommelier.

After selling Osakabar in 2025, Kazu joined one of Brisbane’s most renowned omakase restaurants as a chef and advisor. Following the completion of that role, he returned to Sydney and is currently preparing to open a new restaurant in March 2026.

Through his long-standing connection with Chef Yuta, this collaboration with Gold Class Daruma brings Kazu’s celebrated Live Lobster Course to life as a limited pop-up event.
