Piermont

Piermont Overlooking Great Oyster Bay, Piermont offers coastal accommodation, dining, weddings & onsite spa sanctuary.

Piermont Estate sits on 230 acres that borders two private beaches with Stony Creek to the North and Freycinet National Park to the East across Great Oyster Bay. In 1992 Ruprecht von Haniel-Niethammer purchased Piermont Estate with a simple vision, to create a place where people can relax and feel at one with nature again. For all to enjoy in privacy a place where one can simply be calm whilst surrounded by Tasmania's natural beauty. All aspects in the creation of Piermont, from choosing the property, the planning, design and construction have revolved around the objective of keeping ecology, health and comfort in mind. Piermont Accommodation consists of fifteen self-contained Cottages and six Suites built using the highest quality natural materials. Piermont offers a one of a kind, full recuperative experience, in beautiful accommodation for couples, families and business people alike. Piermont's Accommodation could be described as "ecologically sustainable luxury". This is evident in the lack of superfluous decorations and glitzy polishes. Instead, the lovingly finished details, handcrafted from natural materials, bring about nostalgic memories of good old times, long gone by.

Spend an evening with Ricky Evans, one of Tasmania’s most respected vignerons and the w**emaker behind Woodlawn, Havilah W**e and Two Tonne Tasmania.

Working across three distinctive vineyard sites in the Tamar Valley, Ricky’s approach begins in the vineyard. Sustainable viticulture and classical, minimal-intervention w**emaking allow the character of each site to take the lead, producing w**es that speak clearly of Tasmania’s cool climate and the places they come from.

Woodlawn represents the top echelon of Ricky’s portfolio, spanning traditional method sparkling and single-vineyard expressions with a particular focus on pinot noir and chardonnay.

For one night at Piermont, Ricky will take us through a curated selection of Woodlawn w**es, sharing the stories of the vineyards, vintages and philosophy behind each bottle.

The evening begins with canapés and a welcome drink before moving into Homestead for a three course dinner by Head Chef, Harsh Ghosh, accompanied by four Woodlawn w**e tastings.

This is a night for those who like to know not only what’s in their glass, but where it came from and the hands behind it.

Friday 9th October 6pm - 9pm
Homestead Restaurant at Piermont Retreat
Tickets: $175pp

Event attendees receive 15% off accommodation. Book your room via the website using code WOODLAWN15.
